Each year volunteers participate in more than 50 different STEM activities around the area; helping at STEM events, participating in career fairs, and visiting classrooms to talk to students about engineering. In the last academic year, Chicago Engineers’ Foundation impacted more than 1,600 K-12 students thanks to our amazing volunteers!
No experience is necessary, and training/resources are provided to each volunteer.
Science Works at the Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago
Saturday, October 12th from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
Summary: During the annual MSI-Chicago career exploration day, STEM-focused associations and companies host interactive tables for museum guests. You’ll share your STEM career, examples of a typical day at work, and even bring some tools or props that help explain your work.

Summary: The Chicago Association of Student Engineers is a student-led organization for Chicago area high school students planning to pursue engineering careers. An engineering professional will facilitate a discussion about their career path for the students, followed by a question & answer period. FIRST Illinois Robotics

Summary: FIRST Illinois is seeking engineering professionals to help middle and high school students build robots in preparation for robotics competitions. Volunteers are also needed to serve as competition judges. No prior experience with robotics is required.
