The Chicago Engineers’ Foundation (CEF) provides programming to engage and empower Chicago’s next generation of engineers.
K-12 Classroom Outreach
Classroom presentations inspire young minds as engineers visit with students across Chicago to speak about basic engineering concepts, types of engineering, and their own personal experiences in this growing and important industry. Presentations take place at schools and other community organizations. CEF’s professional volunteers also give their time to support STEM fairs, science fairs, building competitions, scholarship fairs and other engineering-related student events. Annually CEF volunteers participate in 40 different outreach activities, impacting more than 1,000 students.
