CEF Celebrates the Chicago World’s Fair
On Friday, November 7th, more than 100 guests joined Chicago Engineers’ Foundation (CEF) for World’s Fair Chicago, a cocktail reception celebrating the 1893 World’s Fair.
The fifth floor of the Union League Club of Chicago was transformed into an immersive space for guests to connect with various aspects of the Columbian Exposition including the architecture, exhibits, engineering innovations, the iconic Ferris Wheel, and more. Guests enjoyed World’s Fair themed music, small bites and drinks, a trivia contest, and tried their luck at winning World’s Fair inspired raffle packages. A highlight of the evening was a display of World’s Fair artifacts curated from the Union League Club’s archival collection. From start to finish, this evening was a true salute to the Chicago World’s Fair.
