On March 1 2018 more than 100 guests joined CEF for Cocktails & Casino at the Union League Club of Chicago. The evening included casino table games, a giant silent auction, great food, live music, and complimentary drink samples courtesy of 6 area vendors.
CEF Presents Inaugural Student Success Initiatives
On January 3, 2018 Chicago Engineers’ Foundation presented the inaugural Student Success Workshop. CEF Scholars joined professional volunteers for a session focused on resume essentials and interview skill development.
CEF 2018 Scholarship Award Application Opens
The 2018 Incentive Award application opened on January 1, 2018. High school Seniors who plan to study engineering in college, and live or go to high school in the city of Chicago may visit the Foundation’s scholarship application website through April 24, 2018 to apply for an award. In addition, 2017 awardees currently studying engineering may apply for renewed support.
CEF Hosts Inaugural Craft Beer Event
More than 100 guests joined the Chicago Engineers’ Foundation at Building Brews, the organization’s first craft been tasting. Twelve local brewers participated in the tasting. The event also included a panel discussion focused on the science and technology behind craft brewing.
CEF Welcomes 2017-2018 Leadership
At the 2017 Annual Meeting on September 21, 2017 CEF welcomed new officers, directors and advisors to the leadership team.
CEF Presents 2017 Incentive Awards
More than 200 guests came together at the CEF Incentive Award Dinner & Presentation to celebrate the 2017 CEF Scholars on June 20, 2017 at the Union League Club of Chicago. Members of the Engineers’ Foundation leadership, and keynote speaker Dr. Peter Nelson, Dean of Engineering at UIC, welcomed the students and friends of CEF to this annual celebration.
Fun and Games at Casino Night 2017
More than 100 CEF supporters gathered at ULCC on March 9, 2017 for Casino Night 2017, the organization’s signature fundraising event. This year’s theme, Brazilian Carnival, was a festive celebration and fundraiser benefiting CEF’s scholarship awards for aspiring engineers. The evening featured casino table games, a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, wine grab, and an amazing buffet of Brazilian-inspired foods. The Clemente High School Steel Drum Band and a Luminarts Jazz trio added to the festive atmosphere with live performances.
CEF Presents Bridging Urban America Film Event
More than 130 guests joined CEF for one of the final American screenings of Bridging Urban America, the Story of Ralph Modjeski. The event was presented in partnership between the Chicago Engineers Foundation and Transportation Subcommittee of the Union League Club of Chicago.
