CEF Presents the 2026 Engineering Focus Luncheon

On February 25th, Chicago Engineers’ Foundation presented the annual Engineering Focus Luncheon.

Engineering Focus is the annual kick-off to National Engineers Week in Chicago. This year’s luncheon at the Union League Club of Chicago was an exciting opportunity for professionals, educators, and students to be inspired and celebrate the future of engineering.

Chicago Engineers’ Foundation President Sharon Harmsworth and Vice President Madison Knobloch welcomed guests to the event.  The focus of this year’s luncheon was the present and future of Illinois’ railroad network.

Jason Osborn, Director of Intermodal Project Implementation (bio)

Illinois Department of Transportation

Jason Osborn is the Director of Intermodal Project Implementation at the Illinois Department of Transportation. He oversees the Department’s rail, passenger rail, transit, and aeronautics programs. Before the Illinois Department of Transportation, Director Osborn worked at Metra Commuter Rail, McHenry County Division of Transportation, and Wilbur Smith Associates.
